Fun Facts
The planet in front of Venus is Mercury and also the 3 planets behind it in order is Earth, Mars, and Jupiter.
Mercury Earth
Mars Jupiter
The diameter of Venus is about 12103.6 kilometers or 7520.8 miles. About 3-4 moons fit in Venus.
For a jet to go around Venus completely at 559 miles per hour, it would need to go 23,628 miles and would take 1.5 days.
Two interesting things about the weather are described below:
- The pressure here is 90 times more than Earth's. This is because the atmosphere traps heat, which causes various gases to accumulate in the air. This trapping causes an increase in the pressure and also explains why the temperature on Venus is about 464 degrees Celsius!
- It has been known as Earth's twin sister because it has about the same size. But, as we just saw, it has very different weather.
